These 3 projects were my creative response to COVID-19 pandemic and collaboration with my mother, Danuta. While the coronavirus is spreading wild in Europe, and Danuta has been experiencing tough restrictions, we in Melbourne have been cautiously resurfacing and falling into the lockdown after lockdown. …CALIFORNIA TUNICS (2017) is a development of a project undertaken on Gosia’s 25th wedding anniversary when she made tunics for herself and her husband/collaborator Longin Sarnecki. She drew on the tunics over a 24 hour period. For this project, Gosia has made tunics for herself, for Longin and for a few Joshua Tree friends.
